Deep Jungle Home is a secluded six acre property with a small stream one one side and thick evergreen forest on three sides of the campus. Deep Jungle Home has one simple village style mud cottage, two Swiss cottage tents, five bamboo huts, six camping tents. The stream is a favourite resource of drinking water for wild animals like deer, elephants, langurs, guars, dholes / wild dogs, etc. If you prefer staying in a silent and calm nature of jungle, listening to the sounds of forest during the night, then Deep Jungle Home is the place for stay in Mudumalai / Bandipur. Safety is ensured by solar fencing, proper lighting. A watchman and a caretaker are available for basic room service. Basic Amenities The cottage has two small bedrooms, a hall with sofas that can be stretched out to make extra beds in the night, clean toilet with a geyser for hot water. The Swiss cottage tents look like a tent on the outside, feel like a well furnished room on the inside giving a feel of both forest living and material comforts. Swiss tents have a attached toilets
The five bamboo huts are located opposite the dining area, have 2 bunk beds to sleep four, a fan, light and a plug point.
The six camping tents are spaced around the dining area, have mattress on the tent floor for two or three people, a fan, light. There are separate common toilets for ladies and men. Please note these camping tents are very basic and dont have amenities like dressing room / table, mirror, etc, and there is no hot water facility for the tents as of now.
For Bamboo huts and camping tents, the toilets are common and are separate common toilets for ladies and men. There is no hot water facility for the tents or bamboo huts as of now.
There is a common dining area big enough to accommodate 30 people at a time and can also serve as a activity center / open air conference hall. There is ample parking space.
A projector and screen can be hired if informed in advance.

List of Dos
* Relax and enjoy nature at its best. Listen to the animal, insects, birds and river sounds. * Look out for animals like langurs, Malabar squirrel, colorful birds, butterflies and small insects, etc * Consult with the caretaker for assistance before doing anything.

* No smoking in the campus * Dont use fire in any form near / inside the tents. * No loud noise, music, alcohol, smoking or plastics in the common areas of the campus. * Children should not be left unattended. * It is not legal enter the forest and it is not safe. * Wild animals or birds are not be disturbed. Irritated animals may attack viciously. * Don’t feed wild animal like deer, langurs, monkeys. * Don’t throw around / litter garbage. * Don’t venture outside the solar power fencing in the evenings. * Don’t touch the solar electric Fence. * Dont disturb locals.
